Mago Video presented mostly films from Spain on VHS in the US. The majority were light hearted sex comedies and Spanish dramas. This rare treat is an exception. One of two Mago videos of Jess Franco films. The other being Sangre en mis Zapatos.
Sola Ante el Terror features Jess Franco regulars Lina Romay and Antonio Mayans. Unfortunately this was not a great presentation of this lesser-known thriller from the 80's. Both the sound quality and and picture are of poorer quality than the typical Mago VHS release. The credits on the back cover and the run time are inaccurate. So buyer beware.
This muddled thriller deals with a bizarre family that plots to drive a young girl crazy in order to gain her inheritance. ( sound familiar?)
Still a favorite amongst Euro Trash video enthusiasts. But Franco fans should look elsewhere for more high-grade smut from this infamous and prolific Spanish director.
